PNH Support Group to MarrowCommunity Help
PNH Support Group Members
The PNH Support Group website has been a destination for PNH patients and caregivers from 2003 to 2018. It's been a place where they could help and support each other. To provide new and improved features, such as mobile (tablet and smart phone) support, the PNH Support Group forums are moving to a new site at MarrowCommunity.org.
All PNH Support Group user accounts and posts have been moved to the new site, along with profile information.
To connect to your MarrowCommunity account, specify your PNH Support Group email address on the Connect to MarrowCommunity.org page, and choose a new password.
Solving Problems
If you don't know your PNH Support Group email address, or no longer use that email address, we can help! Choose one of the solutions below.
  1. If you know your PNH Support Group nickname/username and password (or your web browser remembers them), go to the Your Info page. After you log in, your email address will appear in the Real Email field. Now that you know your email address, proceed to the Connect to MarrowCommunity.org page.
  2. If you know your PNH Support Group email address but no longer use that email address, contact us. Tell us your PNH Support Group email address. We'll change your MarrowCommunity.org account to your current email address, and notify you when you can proceed to the Connect to MarrowCommunity.org page.
  3. For any other situation, contact us. Tell us what you know about your use of the PNH Support Group forums and we'll identify your account, update your MarrowCommunity.org account to match, and notify you when you can proceed to the Connect to MarrowCommunity.org page.
Marrowforums
Many PNH patients and caregivers are members of the PNH Support Group. Many patients and caregivers concerned with AA, MDS, PNH, or other bone marrow failure diseases are members of Marrowforums, which also offered discussion forums. Both sites let patients and caregivers help and support each other.
With the move to MarrowCommunity.org, we are combining the two groups. Members of either or both forum sites have accounts at MarrowCommunity.org, and their posts and profile information has been moved there.
If you are a member of both the PNH Support Group and Marrowforums, your posts and profile information have been combined. If your accounts use different email addresses, you can try one address and then the other when you use the a href="http://www.marrowforums.org/MarrowCommunityResetPassword.html#marrowforums">Connect to MarrowCommunity.org page.
Why Did My Nickname Change?
A small number of PNH Support Group accounts have had their nicknames/usernames changed. This was necessary if your nickname wasn't available at MarrowCommunity.org. When it was possible, we renamed the other account and left your nickname as it was, but some nicknames required new names. To make your nickname unique we added the year you joined the PNH Support Group to the end of your nickname, for example, changing ConcernedPatient to ConcernedPatient2015.
If you can't log in because your nickname/username has changed, try adding the year you joined to your nickname. We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you aren't sure what year you joined, take a few guesses or contact us.
If you forgot your password, follow the instructions on the Lost your Password? page.
If you're unhappy with your changed nickname/username, you can pick a new name for MarrowCommunity.org. Contact us and we'll take care of it.
MarrowCommunity Privacy
The PNH Support Group forums are invitation-only. MarrowCommunity.org maintains that privacy. The PNH Support Group discussion forums have been moved to a private PNH Support Group area at MarrowCommunity.org. It is still invitation-only.
Marrowforums is an open site, with forums that anyone can read, while only registered members can post. MarrowCommunity.org maintains this approach. Only members can post.
The AA-MDS-TALK Archive, a history of the AA-MDS-TALK listserv from 2002 to 2006, has been hosted by Marrowforums since 2006. The listserv was open to anyone who subscribed, and the AA-MDS-TALK Archive was made available only to registered Marrowforums members. This is also true at MarrowCommunity.org, where you must be registered to view the AA-MDS-TALK Archive.
